Welcome to the pupils’ section of the Bog Standard website. Bog Standard is a campaign to make school toilets better. Our 3 aims are:

  1. To increase awareness of the health benefits of better toilets for pupils
  2. To encourage schools to improve the condition of pupils' toilets and to allow pupils to use them when they need to
  3. To get laws that will make pupils' toilets nicer to use

Bog Standard wants to make people aware that better toilets mean healthier pupils.

ERIC (Education and Resources for Improving Childhood Continence), is a charity that helps children and young people with wetting, constipation and soiling problems. ERIC organises the Bog Standard campaign.

Are your school toilets really horrible?

Are you not allowed to go when you really need to?

If so this web site is for you!

 Bog Standard has made a charter. This says what we think pupils’ toilets should be like. There’s a poster version of the charter that you can print off and put on the wall.


Why don’t you start by reading what you can do to help make toilets better in your school? Or, you can read about why you need nice toilets to keep you healthy.
