Bog Standard in the Press
Article in Leadership Focus | The September/October 2007 issue (27) of Leadership Focus (the magazine of the National Association of Headteachers) features a four-page article on school toilets written by Nickie Brander, campaigns' organiser for ERIC, the charity which leads the Bog Standard campaign.
Titled 'The Toilet Role', the article argues that "Toilets are tangible evidence of how the school cares about the pupils" and is a key element to consider before parents and pupils make a final choice of school. The article outlines the effects of toilets on pupils from health and welfare to vandalism and truancy and gives schools 17 top hints to avoid problems. |
