ERIC (Education and Resources for Improving Childhood Continence)
This is the charity which organises Bog Standard. ERIC (Education and Resources for Improving Childhood Continence) is a national children’s health charity dealing with bedwetting, daytime wetting, constipation and soiling in children and young people. ERIC provides information, support and resources to families and health professionals on bladder and bowel problems. Call the confidential Helpline on 0845 370 8008 open 10am - 4 pm Monday to Friday.
School Councils UK
School Councils UK is supported by the Department for Education and Skills and works with Local Education Authorities. It helps schools set up and run their own school councils.
The British Toilet Association
This organisation aims to improve standards of ‘away from home’ toilets, which include school toilets.
The Community Practitioners’ and Health Visitors’ Association (CPHVA)
The CPHVA is the UK professional professional organisation for health visitors, school nurses, nursery nurses and other community nurses working in primary care. The CPHVA is a section of the Unite trade union which is the largest union in the UK.

UK Paruresis Trust
Paruresis (often called Shy Bladder Syndrome) means that urinating (having a wee) in the presence of others (including in a cubicle if there are other people about) is difficult or impossible. The trust is a charity and self-help organisation run by volunteers who are sufferers themselves. It has an information website and discussion board for sufferers.
Parcopresis help site
Parcopresis (sometimes known as Shy Bowel Syndrome) is the inability to defecate (have a poo) in the presence of others (or if there are other people nearby). It has an information website and discussion board for sufferers.
Child Advocate site
Laurie A Couture, is an advocate for the human rights of young people in the USA and is concerned about the denial of toilet use at school. The site is under new construction (as of November 2009) and a few pages of the previous site can be found under Children's Rights (Archives) on the medical effects of not allowing pupils to go to the toilet when they need to.
Promocon
Promocon is a national charity that provides information on continence products and services. It offers a confidential helpline to provide impartial and unbiased information relating to continence products and services
TUC campaign
The TUC 'Gotta go' campaign, launched in 2003 to force Britain's bosses to treat their workers with respect and provide them with the right to paid time off to go to the toilet.
